Summit Group of Companies has joined hands with The Daily Star and Champs21.com to organise Spelling Bee this year. An agreement signing ceremony was held in the Summit Centre on Tuesday, 26 May, 2015. Students from class VI – X can participate in the contest. Last year, nearly three hundred thousand students from across the country participated in the online round.
During the occasion, Mr. Muhammed Aziz Khan, Chairman of Summit Group of Companies, said, “Summit has been building infrastructure for the nation. We are happy to be a part of the process to build the next generation of the country”.
“Spelling Bee has been able to attract more participation from students every year. The teachers and parents play a good role to prepare the students for the competition. I request them to carry on their involvement. The quality of our spellers is quite high. I believe this year the competition will reach even higher levels of success.” – observed Mr. Mahfuz Anam, Editor & Publisher of The Daily Star.
Mr. Russell T. Ahmed, CEO of Champs21.com enthused that the response from students and schools were great the last 3 seasons. And he hopes this year the participant number would be greater. “We are always getting calls and messages from students asking when Spelling Bee would start its new season. The eagerness of the kids is what motivates the team to bring back a better show every year.”
This year, which will be the fourth season of Spelling Bee, is set to kick off the online round in Champs21.com portal from June.
