ABC International School arranged a festival named "PITHA UTSHOB- 2016" ON 30th January, 2016 at school premise in Narayanganj. It was arranged with a view to upholding the heritage of Bengali culture.
The festival was inaugurated by M. Abdul Hai, Principal of ABC International School as the chief guest. Among others, Abdul Monayem, Executive Director, Ms Rebeka Sultana, Vice Principal also attended the festival. The visitors appreciated the initiative, saying this kind of arrangement would play a significant role in conserving our rich culinary culture and popularizing the rural tradition of Pitha among students. Students of different classes and teachers of different department of the school attended the Pitha Utshob.
This year's festival featured over more than 10 stalls offering various kinds of traditional homemade sweet pies and rice-cakes. Patisapta, Dim pitha, Nakshi pitha, Puli pitha, Biscuit pitha, Teler pitha, Bhapha pitha, Dudhpuli, Pakon pitha, Kuli pitha, Tal pitha and many more varieties were on displays at the festival.
The whole school was adorned with different adorable flowers, colorful paintings and festoons to celebrate the festival. Towards the end of festival, cultural function added more delight to the enthusiasm.
