Running a school amidst numerous strikes and an ongoing blockade is simply a nightmarish experience for any teacher in Bangladesh at the moment. Regular classes, students’ presence, scheduled exams – the whole system is being disrupted.
What I fail to understand is that, how can someone in their right mind not see the devastating effect of this mindless act on education. As an educator and a parent, my only appeal to all political parties is, “Please do not harm the already fragile and troubled education sector of the country anymore. We cannot afford the loss.”
