Movie-Night In with Family

If you are not like me who has to fill up thousands of college-essays and have some spare leisure-time in their hands, then a movie-night in with your family is a perfect way to not just relax but also bond with your family. Especially, in a time like winter, you have the complete sanction to disorient yourself from your real world enshrouded with misery and troubles, and curl up under your blanket to protect yourself from the harsh reality of the world. So you should do just that! While you’re already under your blanket de-stressing, maybe even throw in a few action/thriller movies to watch with your family. Romantic movies are not exactly the right genre of film to watch with your family if your parents are anything like mine and scrunch their eyebrows every time you swoon over a romantic gesture unraveling in the movie.

So presented to you is a list of winter movies that you can safely watch with your family without having to fret over covering up your giggle with a cough when the lead-actors indulge in some lovey-dovey affections:

Ice Age: Continental Drift

The Ice Age gang rebounds with another raucous adventure – at sea! A continental cataclysm sets Manny, Sid, and Diego adrift on an iceberg where they are later captured by pirates. What do you think – will the gang be able to reach the safety and comforts of their home ever again? Watch this hilarious and heartwarming movie and find out!

Home Alone

This super-hit movie starring child-actor Macaulay Culkin broke many records upon its release. Watch this movie and effortlessly lose yourself in the comical and exhilarating adventures of the 8-year-old Kevin who is accidentally left behind while his family flies to France for Christmas. This Christmas, he must defend his home against idiotic burglars. Will he be successful? Watch and find out.

As winter unwinds, entangle yourself in the realm of movies, and tune in next time for more movies.
